Ok, I've bought those books a month ago while I was in Edinburgh. I loved the shop!! It was a shop that sold second hand books and they were so so cheap! I thought I was in heaven! Literally. If could I would have bought dozen of them! But I knew I will go to a flight to go back home so I couldn't have to much baggage :/ So I decided I will buy just two. It was difficult to choose just two but I somehow manage it ;) And so I bought those two. I haven't read them yet :) So I guess it counts for my mailbox anyway :)

Recenzija - Family Support, Family Income, and Happiness: A 10-Year Perspective

Raziskava preučuje vlogo dveh osrednjih vidikov družinskega življenja – dohodek in socialna podpora – pri napovedovanju sreče in spremembe občutka sreče v vsakdanjem življenju med 274 poročenimi odraslimi osebami v 10-letnem obdobju. Avtorji so uporabili hierarhično linearni model s katerim so raziskali odnos med dohodkom in občutkom sreče. Dohodek ima majhen pozitiven vpliv na občutek sreče, kateri se zmanjša, ko dohodek zvišamo. V nasprotju pa je družinska podpora, ki je bila merjena s tremi lestvicami, in sicer kohezija, izražanje čustev ter konfliktnost, pokazala veliko pozitivno povezavo s občutkom sreče, tudi po manipuliranju spremenljivke dohodka. Družinska podpora je veliko bolj korelirala z občutkom sreče, ko je bil dohodek nižji, kot pa ko je bil dohodek višji. Sprememba v družinski podpori je pozitivno korelirala s spremembo občutka sreče, medtem sprememba v višini dohodka ni povezana z občutkom sreče. Ugotovitve raziskave kažejo, da se občutek sreče lahko spremeni ter poudarjajo kako pomembno je raziskovanje vloge družinskih interakcij, ki takšno spremembo omogočajo.

V članku mi je bila najbolj všeč teza, ki zagovarja, da je podpora družine najboljši napovednik sreče v življenju posameznika tudi ko manipuliramo spremenljivko dohodka bodisi na nižjega bodisi na višjega. Pomembno je le, da ima posameznik zagotovljene osnovne biološke in socialne potrebe. Torej je podpora družine in socialnega okolja veliko bolj pomembna pri doseganju sreče in zadovoljstva v vsakdanjem življenju kot pa dohodek sam. Današnja kapitalistična družba pa nas želi prepričati ravno v nasprotno. Rezultate raziskave bi lahko aplicirala na slovenski narod, ki je relativno srečen v vsakdanjem življenju, ne glede na krizne ekonomske razmere, saj ima podporo družine in širšega socialnega okolja.

Kritična sem predvsem do tega, da je bilo v zajetem vzorcu relativno majhen procent posameznikov iz skupine nižjega socialno-ekonomskega statusa. Po tem takem bi lahko bili rezultati vpliva prihodkov na srečo v življenju nekoliko drugačni. V raziskavi bi bilo potrebno razširiti vzorec na več etničnih skupin ter predvsem več ekonomsko različnih vzorcev. Posledično bi bili rezultati bolj verodostojni in bi lahko sklepali na celotno populacijo. Testi, s pomočjo katerih so ugotavljali občutek sreče pri posameznikih, so bili bazirani na samooceni posameznika. Takšni rezultati bi lahko tudi bili posledica odgovarjanja s socialno zaželjenimi odgovori.

Misel, ki me je najbolj pritegnila, je ta, da se pozitivna povezava med denarjem in srečo občutno zmanjša pri višjih ravneh dohodka. To pomeni, da sta prihodek in sreča najmočneje povezana pri skupini z nižjo ravnjo dohodka. Višji dohodek pa korelira z le minimalnim povečanjem spremenljivke sreče v vsakdanjem življenju (Diener & Biswas-Diener, 2002). Posledično bi to pomenilo, da z zadovoljenimi osnovnimi biološkimi in socialnimi potrebami, so ljudje iz nižjega in srednjega ekonomsko-socialnega sloja veliko bolj srečni kot tisti iz višjega. Kar je zelo zanimiva ugotovitev glede na današnje kapitalistične razmere in sistem, ki nas želi prepričati, da je kapital najbolj pomemben. 

Članek ima veliko uporabno vrednost, saj so izvedli longitudinalno študijo, ki je trajala 10 let z relativno nizkim upadom udeležencev raziskave skozi leta. V raziskavi so avtorji uporabili različne teste za ugotavljanje občutkov sreče, družinske podpore, ki se je delila na kohezivnost, izražanje čustev ter konfliktnost v družinskih interakcijah. Raziskava je pomembna predvsem zato, ker nazorno prikazuje spreminjanje občutka sreče v vsakdanjem življenju skozi čas glede na dohodek in družinsko podporo.

Ključno sporočilo raziskave je, da denar le ni toliko pomemben zato, da so ljudje srečni v vsakdanjem življenju, temveč da je bolj pomembna podpora družine in socialnega okolja za naše vsakodnevno blagostanje.

OMG I can't wait to read this book!! And see how Tessa will handle everything! And most of all I hope Will will start to behave in a normal way, bacause the end in Clockwork Angel - I would have punched him in the face (and it may be somewhere else too) for what he said to Tessa! What a jerk!! So yeah, I hope for him that he'll get better in this book. 

About Tessa's family, this is getting more intresting everyday!! I hope Magnus Bane will be in the story a lot. I love that guy! :D He's so funny!

1. Unforgiven by Barbara J Hancock

A nice romantic story of a vampire and a girl who fights vampires.

2. Marked by P.C. and Kristin Cast

A story of a girl Zoey who became a Vampire and from that moment all her life change. She moves to a Vampire school - The house of the Night and there is where the adventures begin.

3.  Fallen by Lauren Kate 

A story of a girl named Lucinda who moved to a school with kinds with problems, after her boyfriend died and whole her city thinks she killed him. I the new school she meets a guy named Daniel..

4. Hush, hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Nora is a normal girl who goes to school. She has all great grades. One day the Prof of Biology thinks he should switch the sitting position of the students. Nora got to sit close to a boy named Patch. And here the story begins..

OMG finally the day had come! Read-A-Thon is here :) 

Today was such a crazy day. Seriously. Yesterday we went out to a party. God, I was so so drunk. Ohh my God. My friend got into a fight. We went home to check his nose and when I opened the closet I actually got hit into a hanger. Awful. Totally totally awful. So yeah we woke up this morning - he with a almost broken nose and me with a almost black eye. Yeahh awesome party. Dohh. And Ohh my God, what a hangover!! :/ Not to mention the pain in the eye. :/ I couldn't get to a computer with internet connection and we went home - I came home around 7pm. So i actually started my Read-A-Thon Cheerleading a bit late. But rather later that never :P And belive me.. Cheerleading is exhausting. I've been cheering blogers for two hours now (and a bit less then one hour when I came home) and I am so so tired :P But it was so so fun!! :) I was running on blogs, checking their progress with the reading. :) It's great! There are some mini challanges that I will pick up as well :) I'll post them when I come home :) This is such a great experience!! I totally love it!! People are having such a great time :) And me as well :P 


Ok, it's 3.30am in here. Screw  it! I'm not going to sleep. I am too excited with everything going on to go to sleep. I'll sleep tomorrow ;) I'll do some mini challanges backwards, because I couldn't get to the computer for most of the day. :)

So the point is cheering people on blogs and on twitter to enjoy their reading. So I need to come out with an idea how to do that. And I was thinking... I LOVE quotes! OMG this book seems so so great! I mean the title is just AMAZING and the cover is so so beautiful. And the story have this british hottie guy names "Oliver" and woow. I can't wait to read this book!

Top 10 Books with Covers or Titles That Made Me Read Them

1. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Ok, this is a Slovenian Cover, if you were thinking that you've never seen it before ;) It was special for Slovenia I guess. It was the summer of 2010 when my mum discovered this series. In that time I was really into Twilight so I haven't paid attention to anything else. And then she started pushing me into Vampire Academy, and I was like "Mum seriously" and she was like "Nea you'll see, you'll love it. I think you'll like more than Twilight". "HUH? Impossible". I mean seriously, I was rereading Twilight for the whole year that I have spent in Erasmus - so yeah, you can kind of get my point. When I saw the cover and everything and decided to give it a try. Honestly? I haven't picked up Twilight since then. I was reading and reading and laughing and crying and oooh Rose <3. My mum then told me Rose reminded her of me. Funny I felt the same :P After all this time I am still thinking if maybe my awful Erasmus would have been different if I would have been reading Vampire Academy instead of New Moon over and over again. Probably.

2. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

OMG have you seen this BODY?! Definitely to pick up and start reading. Seriously - he is like a GOD. And it was a series which I was also looking for. City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass and so on.. I loved it! I like this sequel of same titles and yet different. After Vampire Academy I've thought that I will never find a series like that. And here it was! I loved it!! Jace <3

3. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson

This is the Italian cover. I was in Rome visiting my favourite place on the planet and I was staying with some friends of my parents. I the last days I've seen this book lying around the house. I took a look at it.. It was interesting. The title I mean - The Italians translate it in Men which hates the women. I thought it was psychological. Booh I didn't know. And I've picked it up and started reading. I had 3 days left in Rome so I needed to be quick. This book was shocking. Seriously, I mean I liked it but still, it was a book that got me pretty badly. My last night in Rome I haven't sleep at all - I was reading it :P I've finished it at 7 am in the morning lol. The night after that I left Rome. When I came back home I bought The girl who played with fire ;)

4. Chosen by P.C. and Kristin Cast

Well, my mum bought the book - the first one in Slovenian and then another one in English. And she told me that she bought the first book in both languages. I said ok and I took the one in English and I liked the cover. I wasn't paying much attention.. and after I finished Chosen I kind of figure out that I was reading the 3rd one instead of the first. Dooh. What I was supposed to do then? I was reading on the 4th one and so one :P I haven't read the first and the second at all. And actually had stopped in the middle of Awakened - Zoey disappointed me so much when she kind of gave up, that I left the book there for, huh, 6 months I guess. Maybe those days I will pick it up again. Maybe.

5. The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa

OMG look at these covers!! They are just AMAZING. The pattern is so so great and the colors? Oh my God seriously I love it. And the eyes woow. How can someone after seeing those covers refuse to read these books? Impossible ;)

6. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

Ohh, look at this cover! It's so so beautiful. I love those eyes. And also the title. So I've picked it up and the book was just amazing! 

7. Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik

Ohh I loved this title!! I've seen it on other blogs I was eager to read it. I wanted to see this WooW EPIC FAIL. But when had read the book.. well I can say there wasn't THAT epic fail at all. I think the title is a bit exaggerated. But I liked the story :)

8. Fallen by Lauren Kate

I loved this cover! The dress is so waaaw. The twilight with that blue colors. And that long hair - even if let's face it - Lucinda has short black curls. I've found it a bit odd, but then again I guess long black hair on the cover makes a bigger impression. I liked the story of the first book the most.

9. Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shoudn't Have) by Sarah Mlynowski

Ok, everyone can admit with me that THIS title is just amazing! I mean it gets your attention if you want it or not. It's just that great. And the story is wooow. The prologue is so so funny and you actually get through the whole book before you understand how everything happened to come to the prologue again. "See you soon princess!" "Yeah, I am a dead princess" haha it was just that funny!

10. Huh, on the 10th one I didn't know what to put - so I decided to put books I will definitely read because I saw the cover or read the title or both! ;)
