After the whole weekend (or I should say WEEK) of partying hard around Maribor, I am finally back :)
This week I want to share this awesome wall art called the Wailing Wall, which is taking place in the city of Maribor. This year there is this event, and it's taking place in my city, the European Capital of Culture Maribor 2012.
So "The Wailing Wall" - there are practically two walls - a red one and a black one around a fountain. The walls are made of ice, and it will take around two weeks for the ice to melt. The violet water will melt directly in the fountain. The point of the walls is: Take a paper, write on your wish and put it in the wall. When the ice will melt with all the wishes in the fountain, they will spread this water through all the city and it will be called the city of wishes (or something like that) and I think this is amazing <3 And it's so so beautiful. I've put my wish inside the wall today! There is also a political principle about the walls and diversity, but I prefer the wish principle about it :P
Isn't it awesome? :)
This is the kind of art I really, really enjoy :)
