Kyla’s memory has been erased,
her personality wiped blank,
her memories lost for ever.

She’s been Slated.

The government claims she was a terrorist, and that they are giving her a second chance - as long as she plays by their rules. But echoes of the past whisper in Kyla’s mind. Someone is lying to her, and nothing is as it seems. Who can she trust in her search for the truth?

- Goodreads.com description

Wow. This is what you call a great dystopian book! I freaking loved it! Teri Terry is an amazing author and I loved every second of the story. It was incredible, full of mystery, action and incredible characters!

Kyla. Awww, this girl. She was completely awesome. I mean, if your memories would have been erased and you would have to learn everything from the beginning and still function like a normal person, could you? As a psychologist, I think this would be really hard. But she was so good and she tried hard. Even with the nightmares from her past or her pure imagination - Kyla is an incredible female leader character.

Ben. Such a sweet boy. Though he have been slated as well, he was more than just a shell of a person trying to please others. He was deep and he really cared for Kyla. And he was there for her and I really, really liked that about him!

The writing was so stunning. I loved it in every single way possible. I could actually imagine the whole world Kyla lived in. And the society. And the characters were so good written. What I liked most is that even secondary characters were very deep. Like Kyla's Mum. She was awesome.

This book will completely suck you in from the first page. The world Terry created is dark and dangerous, but it will leave you wanting for more. So, if you're searching for an amazing dystopian book, full of mystery, awesome characters, dangerous society that repress the liberty to speak, and all filled with a sweet romance, Slated is the perfect book for you!

"I was told very sternly at hospital to avoid boys at all costs. Mess up your levels."
"Oh, they do that!" Amy laughs. "Probably best to leave them alone for a while. The secret, though, is to start with one you're not that bothered about."
What is the point in that?

But at least if you were in jail, you'd know who you are. Not for long on the chair, though, if you'd done something bad enough to warrant that.
I bite my lip. "Don't you ever want to know?"
"What?"
"Why you were Slated."
"No. If the past is unbearable, why choose to bear it?"
I shrug. Because it is mine.
