Wallflowers #2

Avon, 382 pages
Four young ladies enter London society with one necessary goal: they must use their feminine wit and wiles to find a husband. So they band together, and a daring husband-hunting scheme is born.
It happened at the ball...
Where beautiful but bold Lillian Bowman quickly learned that her independent American ways weren't entirely "the thing." And the most disapproving of all was insufferable, snobbish, and impossible Marcus, Lord Westcliff, London's most eligible aristocrat.
It happened in the garden...
When Marcus shockingly—and dangerously—swept her into his arms. Lillian was overcome with a consuming passion for a man she didn't even like. Time stood still; it was as if no one else existed...thank goodness they weren't caught very nearly in the act!
It happened one autumn...
Marcus was a man in charge of his own emotions, a bedrock of stability. But with Lillian, every touch was exquisite torture, every kiss an enticement for more. Yet how could he consider taking a woman so blatantly unsuitable...as his bride?

To begin with - I love the Wallflowers series! I completely adore it. <3
She does not hesitate for even a moment to call Westcliff a son of a bitch in his face. She is bold and fierce and stunning. She really has an unique appeal and I really felt like I could connect with her. She even gets totally wasted in a scene. Hilarious!

In this book Lillian Bowman is second girl in the row that has to secure herself a husband. Annabelle got her pirate and she is as happy as she's ever been. So, now it's Lillian's turn.
Lillian is one of the very best female characters I've ever encountered in a historical romance book. One word: Badass. She is freaking awesome. And her language - oh my God - is pure awesomeness. She swears. A lot.

Westcliff is ... a self righteous ass. At first. But then he becomes more of a nice character and in the end I was really fond of him.
The writing was stunning as always - Lisa Kleypas - he writing is just like magic. I don't know how she pulls it off but damn, she does. And each book I read is better than the one before. Watch out for this writer!
The romance was fierce and full of passionate moments. I loved every second of it. And omg the twist at the end! Fucking hell, I didn't see that coming. This book is full of action!
So, if you are searching for a great historical romance full of passionate moments, fierce heroine, well developed characters and all that mixed with some great action, It happened one Autumn is the perfect book for you!
